12% of the ideas submitted want the City to focus more on improving the existing infrastructure for motorists. A majority respondents suggested fixing potholes on streets and trails. This fund would go towards the maintenance of streets and trails. Keep in mind this is a prioritization exercise only and that funds for these options are not currently included in the City's annual budget.

by Chad P5 I agree more money needs to spent on this because the roads are in very poor condition in Bloomington. However, this money should come from the existing budget. The city council needs to do a better job prioritizing the roads, which is an essential government function.
by B C11 Existing budget. . . .Ha! The city 'leaders' aren't advanced enough to understand how to keeps spending within anything, as they recently proved. Spend more, tax more. . .don't worry about anything. Then they try to tell us they had to make 'difficult decision.' How difficult is it to spend other peoples' money?!??!
by BOB C31 The more pedestrian and bike trips made the less car trips and thus less wear and tear or need for expansion of roads. Use the funds for trails
by Sandra L14 I agree with Daniel T9's comment. Again, this item does not seem to be appropriate for the bike plan.
by Daniel T9 I'm not sure why a bike plan is addressing potholes for motorists. Yes they should be fixed but from a different pot of money
by Julian W This is an absurd exercise. These amounts are fixed, the amounts seem wholly arbitrary, and do not seem to have any real-world basis. Flexible % out of 100 would make much more sense.
